Juan Domingo Peron

Juan Domingo Peron
Jose Ramirez

Juan Peron was a populist leader that lead Argentina that was elected in 1946,1951 and 1973.Before Peron's rule most of the lower class and industrial works were frowned upon society and even political parties would disregard them and tell them they we worth nothing.Peron then gave this lower class a sense of unity and national pride not just ignoring them and going for the support of the elites. By doing so popularity with him rose even to the point where even during his exile he had a tremendous amount of followers.Even Peron's second wife was an influence to his followers with Evita actively fighting for labor rights which gave people hope. Not only this but Peron was able to have a positive image by allowing Holocaust survivors to come the Argentina which gave the press a lot to talk about but he never changed his policies on this matter he just allowed them to come in so his image can seem a lot nicer. Although he didn't lean towards a more democratic government but more of a dictator style he still had power and was supported up to his fall in 1974 where he died of a heart attack.
