Getulio Vargas
From 1930s through on to 1945, Getulio Vargas served as president of Brazil, first as dictator. He served for 18 years as president, which is most of any president. He had favors of nationalism, industrialization, centralization, social welfare and populism. He was a proponent of workers' rights and also a staunch anti-communist.
Vargas sought supports from workers who were against traditional elites. To workers, he was seen as a populist who gives benefits like educational opportunities, childcare, etc. Under the year of the Ministry of Labour, it supported Vargas from his benefits and which form the Brazilian Labour Party.
